Anyone Who Does Pregnancy Yoga, Does It Help With Labour And Ur Figure After The Birth? X?
Hi, i am getting worried that i have done no exercise yet and i am 27 weeks pregnant.
Apart from starting swimming I would like to try pregnancy yoga but i would like to know in advance, does it help with the labour and has it helped with your figure at all??
Thankyou in advance xxx

During my first pregnancy, I exercised regularly, I was swimming a lot twice a week until about 33 weeks when I had to stop because the cold water was giving me contractions and I was doing pregnancy yoga from DVDs at home.
During my second pregnancy, I did NOTHING. Of course, I got pregnant when my first was 9 months and was working full time, so I was kind of tired, busy and lacking energy.
I noticed a huge difference in how quickly I got my figure back after both birth. Basically, after the birth, I did exactly the same both times, so I think the difference really came from the exercising. I breastfed both times and attributed my quick weight loss the first time to that, so I was very surprised the second time when I wasn’t losing any weight!
Basically, in my second pregnancy, I put on 6 kg (13 lbs) more than in the first one. After my first pregnancy, I lost all the weight I had gained in the pregnancy, plus an extra 4 kg (9 lbs) by the time my son was 6 months (I was overweight before getting pregnant). After the second one, I almost didn’t lose anything after birth. 18 months after my son’s birth, I was still struggling to lose anything.
So, from my experience, I would totally say that exercise during pregnancy makes a big difference.
It’s not too late to start for you if you want, just start slowly. Yoga is perfect and feels so good for all the aches and pains of pregnancy.
Good luck!

I started yoga at about 24 weeks and throughout my pregnancy I became more and more toned. My arms and legs were much better looking after my pregnancy than before. Ha. And I can’t say if it made my labor easier as it was my first baby; but my labor was basically painless. Really.

well ur not supposed to start doing any exercise that u didnt do before u wer preg. just go for a brisk 20 min walk every day. this will help the baby get in a good position for labour n keep u fit. + u will be used to it wen bambino comes n u will be walking the pram round all the time.
exercise will help u have a good labour.
best of luck xxx
